Seeed, formed in 1998 in Berlin, Germany, plays dancehall, reggae, and hip hop. Some of the most notable artists they have worked with include: Cee-Lo Green, Anthony B (Waterpumpee), Tanya Stephens, Elephant Man (Shake baby shake), General Degree as well as other Jamaican artists and producers. Seeed's lyrics are German, English and Patois. Their biggest hits in the German-speaking region have been: Dickes B, Aufstehn, Ding, Stand Up, Waterpumpee and Music Monks. Their first smash hit was "Dickes B": a declaration of love to Berlin. With the international versions of "Music Monks" and "Next!", they broke through the borders to the surrounding countries, even securing themselves a set at the coveted Glastonbury Festival in 2005 (which features in the music video for their song 'Slowlife.') They have won multiple awards including 3 ECHO awards, 1 Live Krone in the category 'Best Band' twice and also seized victor
