Sectile are a five-piece prog metal band from Dublin - Ireland, formed in November 2016. Drawing inspiration from a medley of different musical backgrounds, the band’s sound can be described as heavy metal with progressive, post-rock and hard rock elements. Main influences include Opeth, Tesseract, Leprous, Gojira, Mastodon and Porcupine Tree, among others. Their 4-song debut EP was launched on November 2017 and received much praise from the likes of HotPress and MetalIreland, as well as being featured on radio shows such as ProgMetalMadness (UK), Heavy Elements (UK), CraniumTitanium, Rebel Radio and The Moshpit (Ireland). Sectile have played the Siege of Limerick Festival early 2018, and twice played the final of Metal2TheMasses Ireland. With the launch of their single ‘The Hunt’ in October 2018, Sectile feel ready to rise higher and bring their music to audiences in Ireland and the rest of the world.
