Second Wives is a Rock n' Roll trio of guitar, bass and drums that come from the depths of Southern Georgia and now resides in midtown Atlanta. Their primary influences grow from rock rather than country, but the band surely has not forgotten its deeply respected rural roots. Between the band's three members, there is over 30 years of musical experience that encompasses a multitude of instruments, styles and performances. Primary songwriter and lyricist, Perry Brown, has been writing and performing around Georgia for the past eight years. The band formed nearly three years ago, and since then Second Wives has been busy writing, recording and playing shows at various venues and events in Georgia and Alabama. Then band made its first album, a completely independent record called Music Is (written, recorded and produced by Second Wives), in 2008. The has more recently recorded an independent studio album in Atlanta entitle Rhythm Schism. Both albums are available now at all Second Wives concerts.
