Seattle Rain is a Spanish grunge band, strongly influenced by modals like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots or current Audioslave. It begans with the meetings of three of the current members (Rafa Botella, Emilio Jiménez and Dani Valdivieso) nearly September, 2003, then was when songs like “I Know”, “Psychedelic” or “New Essay” were written. Band style was quickly defined because the coincidence in preferences , in addition, Emilio Jiménez was a former member of another grunge band, Even Flow. On November 2005, Alfonso Moreno joined “RED” (first name of the band) and begins preparation for they first gig 9 months later, getting over all kind of troubles and difficulties. In these months were written “Deliverance” and “Dare”. On July 8, 2006 they made début on stages, playing an hour duration concert mixing their own songs with cover likes “Suck my Kiss” (Red Hot Chili Peppers), “Like a Stone” (Audioslave) or “Animal” (Pearl Jam). They earned good reviews. Nearly December 2007, Alfonso Moreno left the band and was replaced by Pedro Gutiérrez (Marty, Anhedonia), performing the current line-up. “RED” returned to stages on March 1, 2008. Weeks before they finished their first recording “Redish”, they defintly took the name “Seattle Rain”.
