Artist
Sean Talamh (pronounced shan tal-uhv, similar to shantalla) is Irish Gaelic for 'old ground' or 'old country', séan meaning old, and talamh meaning land. They formed in 1992 and were composed of Irish-born musicians Kieren Fahy, Noel Harris, Michael Horgan and Tommy Keenan. They released one album in 1993 called 'Traditional Irish Music', but two members returned to Ireland in 1995. In 1996 Fahy and Horgan re-formed their group with musicians Joe Hennon and Gerry Murray with the new name "Shantalla", transferred from the pronunciation of their former name.
