Scum System Kill - from Sydney, Australia - took their name from Japanese crust legends SDS and were active from 2005-2009. They formed with all the female-identified folks who had played in World on Welfare, Charcoal Human and Aphra Behn. In the true spirit of punk rock Scum System Kill (SSK) played bodge-core shows a few weeks after they got together and recorded a demo not long after. For the first two years they played shows over the east coast of Australia and during this time guitarist Jyoti moved to Seattle; Johnny Bones replaced her and they released a split 7" with fellow all grrl crust-punks Poodles of Nuke 'Em High from Aotearoa (New Zealand). The two bands also toured NZ together: cross tasman carnage! grrl crust attack! At the start of 2007 SSK played their last show with dual vocals and said bye to Cathy. SSK decided to play amerikka and toured from San Francisco to Vancouver in 2007 and released the A.N.T.I. C.O.P.Z. USA tour CD EP which was also released on tape by langt ner in euro (www.langtner.narod.ru) In mid 2008 Sophie-j announced that her voice was broken but she took up second guitar and Kallie (the totes brutes gutteral roarer from poodles) came on board to cut sick in the vocal department. SSK played with this new sound & line up right up until they decided to end it all with a final tour in July 2009 - to Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. The recorded an album - "We Live In The Cracks Of This Decaying State" that was only ever released in Asia
