scraiste is a 5 piece diy hc/punk/crust/whatever band based in vienna/austria. we are all involved in the anarchist diy scene. the band started as a two piece project in the start of 2007, out of the debris of a band called mutatia. after 2 months 2 more people joined on vocals and singing saw. in this formation we played our first 4 shows under the name abdera and decided afterwards to take a bassplayer into the band, and our previous bass player changed to guitar. we also decided to have less saw in our songs, so our sawplayer took on the keyboard aswell! In March 2010 our singer quit the band, and we decided to go on without her, and not replace her.
