Artist
Scotty Moore, Bill Black and Joe Lee as The Scotty Moore Trio recorded an instrumental song "Have Guitar Will Travel" in June 1958 (Fernwood 107). Scotty Moore and Bill Black are both famous as Elvis Presley's early band mates, and recorded the song after leaving Presley. When rereleased years later the song was hailed as a lost classic. Winfield Scott "Scotty" Moore III (December 27, 1931 β June 28, 2016) was an American guitarist and recording engineer. He is best known for his backing of Elvis Presley in the first part of his career, between 1954 and the beginning of Elvis' Hollywood years. For his pioneering contribution, Moore has been recognized by the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. In 2000, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
