Scott Andrew Moffatt was born on March 30, 1983 in Whitehorse, Yukon. Within a year after his birth, he became big brother to triplets Clint, Bob and Dave. As a child, Scott did some small-time modelling for a catalogue and bought his first guitar with his earnings at the tender age of six. [edit] Musical career In 1993, The Moffatt Brothers released their first CD independently and soon after did a slight namechange and became the youngest band to sign a contract with a major label. The Moffatts were born. As the boys grew up, they picked up their own instruments rather than have a backup band, and Scott's choice was to be the guitarist. He did most of the lead vocals throughout their career as well as backup vocals for the few songs his brothers lead. In 2001 the band split after his youngest brother, Dave, came out of the closet as a homosexual and caused a rift between himself and his father, who was also their tour manager. A year later, in summer of 2002, reports that Scott had joined a new band with two friends from his current residence of Bragg Creek, Alberta began spreading online. The lineup placed Scott on guitar once again, but later live shows would reveal that he also played the organ and bass. They called themselves The Boston Post and released only one CD, an EP entitled It's 99PM, in January 2003.
