After living in Brooklyn, NY for over a decade, the American drummer/composer Scott McLemore is living in Iceland with his wife jazz pianist Sunna Gunnlaugs. His new album "Remote Location" features 11 original compositions inspired by subject matter like homesickness, musical heros and cooking. Best known for his work with Sunna Gunnlaugs, he has also performed with artists like Tony Malaby, Loren Stillman, Chris Cheek, Bill McHenry, Tim Berne, Ben Monder, Jonathan Kreisberg, Steve Cardenas, Michael Kanan, George Colligan, Russ Lossing, Kerry Politzer, Drew Gress, Mark Helias, John Hebert, Reid Anderson, Eivind Opsvik and Alexis Cuadrado. Since moving to Iceland in 2005, he has continued to perform with Gunnlaugs in trio format and quartet with Norwegian saxophonist Tore Brunborg.
