Scott McCord And The Bonafide Truth are an eight piece jump blues band. The band consists of Scott McCord, vocals, acoustic guitars, Todd Porter - baritone and tenor saxophones, vocals, Christian Overton - trombone, Steve Dyte - trumpet, Simon Craig - guitar, David Atkinson - keyboards, vocals, Charlie James - bass and Ben Rollo - drums, vocals. They play blues with lots of soul, funk and R&B thrown in for good measure. Members have also played in Mr. Something Something, Jully Black, King Sunshine and Jully Black. They've opened for people like Edgar Winter, Dan Hill and Carole Pope. They won Toronto Blues Society’s Talent Search in 2008, were nominated Best New Artist of the Year at the 2010 Maple Blues Awards.
