Schismism is a punk/thrash metal band formed in Ventura County, CA. The band began as the musical collaborations of Jeff Hood and Chris Mastrovito around 1999 and continued as a three-piece consisting of Chris on lead guitar/vocals, Dan Perez on bass, and Nick Gassaway on drums. While drawing major influence from the musical style of early Bad Religion, other influences range from thrash metal to hardcore and protest punk.
