Schiller is a German electronic music act formed in 1998 and named after the German poet and dramatist Friedrich Schiller. The project was originally a duo consisting of Christopher von Deylen and Mirko von Schlieffen. Around 2001 or 2002, von Schlieffen left the project, after which von Deylen continued Schiller as a solo act. Schiller received the ECHO Award in 2002 for Best Dance Single of the Year for "Dream of You" and has sold over seven million albums worldwide. Vocals on Schiller recordings are typically performed by guest artists, including Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil, Samu Haber of Sunrise Avenue, Sarah Brightman, Moya Brennan of Clannad, Midge Ure of Ultravox, Andrea Corr of The Corrs, Colbie Caillat, Sarah Howells of Paper Aeroplanes, Ben Becker, Peter Heppner of Wolfsheim, Xavier Naidoo, Arlissa, Maya Saban, Kim Sanders, formerly of Culture Beat, Ana Torroja of Mecano, Tarja Turunen, formerly of Nightwish, Despina Vandi, Alexander Veljanov of Deine Lakaien, September, Pierre Maubouché, Nena, Meredith Call, Yulia Sanina of The Hardkiss, Marian Gold, and 8Kays.
