Scarlet Affair was a post-hardcore band from Plano, Texas, United States. Their unique blend of agonizing riffs and heart-felt lyrics come from different life experiences of personal trials, triumphs, and tragedies. They went into the studio with Alex Gerst (Slow Roosevelt, The Feds, Flickerstick) and recorded their self-released EP called 'I Do My Best Work Under the Cover of Night' that will be released in late August of 2005. They have also played many shows with national acts such as Madison, Don't Look Down, Tokyo Rose, The Vanished, The Feds, Houston Calls, A Change Of Pace, Greeley Estates, Adelphi, Self Against City, Halifax, A Thorn For Every Heart, Over It, Waking Ashland, and Bleed The Dream. Scarlett Affair stopped doing music in 2007 when their lead singer went to Memphis May Fire to play bass (2007-2008). He later made the band American Mantra in 2009 and made some 3 EPs with that band from 2009 until 2011. Also very solid stuff.
