scaresthedaylights is the work of Neil Lipuma. The band name is derived from how fearful Neil was of outing his work to anyone other than himself, but when his White Shoe friends lent their support and encouragement, he decided to embark on releasing his own album. Katie Ender (Twice As Bright) and Marc Cantone (The City and Horses) lend their indelible imprints. Neil's distinctive lead vocal adds depth to the peculiar and seemingly simplistic sound of the arrangements. The lyrics are both poetic and thought provoking. Burn the Bed is the debut album from scaresthedaylights. The album was recorded and mixed over 3 days by Aaron Nevesie at The Bunker Studio in Brooklyn, NY and produced by scarethehorses (scaresthedaylights + The City and Horses) in March 2009.
