SayRex (pronounced "si-rex") - Rapper and producer inspired by Memphis rap, phonk, and early trap. SayRex took his first few stabs at producing in the phonk scene when he was 6 years old, in 2014. The final products were uploaded to SoundCloud. After deleting his SoundCloud account, he moved the tracks to more widely-used streaming platforms. Among the releases that went up are works such as Cleaning Service (2014), Crvcksta (2015), and SUNRISE CALLING (2016). As he became more well-known in the phonk community, he began to work with more artists including Jupiluxe, SHINIGAMI TENSHI, OG BURIALGROUND, 12-Riot, etc. SayRex then founded his own collective, 98gang, with the 3 other members being Zack Reyes, SB28, and duckie. He has produced most of the tracks in the 98gang discography released after 2017, as his producer alter-ego known as Johnny Liquor.
