We rate this so highly musically that it must be in the top three UK acid-folk private pressings. The band combined spellbinding 12 string guitars, harpsichord and occasional bass to outstanding effect on an album brimming with original songs that displays creative charm amid gusts of melancholia. Extended tracks with thought provoking vocals. Similar territory to Red Television, Ferris Wheel and Midwinter etc only more accomplished from start to finish. A minor classic." - Shiny Beast 2. The Lisbon (Portugal) based quartet SAVANNA was formed in 2012 by Miguel Vilhena (guitar, synth), Pedro Castilho (synth), Tiago Vilhena (bass) and drummer João Seixas. Under the influence of surrealism as well as psychedelia and united by the passion for soundtrack masters like Goblin, Carpenter or Morricone they refine their music with the sparkle of a floydish spacey ambience. In 2012 the band recorded an EP named 'Aurora' at the Discotexas Studios - seven songs which are all connected - where one has to sit and listen in a row in order to fully perceive its concept: a story that leads into a journey through time, guided through a great adventure where mankind plays the main character.
