Artist
Etienne "Sarane" Ferret (1912-1970) was a gypsy jazz guitarist, and the brother of Matelo Ferret and Baro Ferret. He spent his younger years playing banjo and guitar in Parisian musettes. After he met Django Reinhardt in the 1930s, he became interested in playing jazz and went on to form the Swing Quintette de Paris. He also played as a rhythm guitarist for Gus Viseur, Charley Bazin, Tony Murena and harmonica player Dany Kaye.
