Sarah Emerson graduated from the Atlanta College of Art in 1997 and went on to complete a Master’s Degree at Goldsmiths College in London, England in 2000. Over the last twelve years she has exhibited her paintings in galleries throughout the United States and Europe, including at White Columns, New York, Cosmic Gallery, Paris, and Real Art Ways, Hartford, CT. Her paintings have been featured on the cover of New American Paintings twice and she recently exhibited her work in “Catastrophe” the Quebec City Biennial curated by Sylvie Fortin as well as Flux Projects Atlanta 2010. In 2011 her work will be covered in the new Biennial publication Noplaceness by Atlanta Art Now. She is represented by Whitespace Gallery in Atlanta and she currently teaches Painting and Drawing at Emory University.
