Artist
"Sanytch is the pseudonym/nickname of Aliaksandr Niavolin from Belarus. Educated both in his homeland and Russia, he now resides in the Czech Republic, where he works simultaneously as a web designer, DJ, photographer, and musician. Niavolin has been employed in the field of graphic arts since 1997, and – on a loftier level – winning web design accolades since 2002. Now a member of both the Belarusian Designers’ Union and the All-Russian Internet Academy, he operates his own company, Creasence, from the picturesque streets of Prague. He considers yellow to be his “trademark” color, and since it is also used with striking effectiveness to brand his homepage, the image above operates as a fitting calling card on a number of levels. The first release "O" (released by Foundamental net-label) came about after Sanytch’s decision to get rid of his GrooveBox and sampler, in order to work exclusively on a laptop. Here he began chopping up all manner of audio fragments “to the point where they were unrecognizable.” Soviet-pop diva Alla Pugacheva, old movies, and retro music were all used in order “to create a completely new and unique entity.” Their presence in these recent instrumentals is indeed unrecognizable. These kind of offhand experiments began, as with his graphic work, in the late 1990s and an initial acquaintance with Kraftwerk. Using DIY tools such as Windows 95 and Fruity Loops, Sanytch started to compose music whenever he encountered dry spells in the design business.
