Santa Cora is a metal band from São Paulo, formed in 2022, which incorporates the experience and energy of artists influenced by Modern Metal, Progressive Rock, Melodic Metal, typical Brazilian rhythms and Classical Music, culminating in a complex and grandiose sound. The name, Santa Cora, is linked to the childhood nickname of Carol Corteze, the band's vocalist, carrying doses of humor and irony. After several months of pre-production, in January 2023 Santa Cora focused on recording their first album, "Elementum", at Fusão studio, with renowned producer Thiago Bianchi (Noturnall, and Shaman). It is an album with nine original tracks, released on July 26, 2024. Vocalist Carolina Corteze and guitarist/violinist João Michelin are the founders of the band. In addition to them, Santa Cora's debut album featured the participation of renowned keyboardist Fábio Laguna (Edu Falaschi, Angra, Hangar, etc.), Alex Cristopher on drums and João Pedro Castro on bass, as well as special appearances by singer Ameslari and singer Alessandra Lodoli (Inanimalia). In 2024, bassist Desirée Nobrega, keyboardist César Bolfarini and drummer Yago Cefaly joined the band as official members.
