Santa Chiara, formerly chickpee, is the solo project of Italian musician Chiara D'Anzieri. She began her career as a classical cellist at the age of 10, touring in various orchestras throughout Italy and Europe. Experiencing burn out she left the classical world to explore other kinds of music and producing while working in a studio in her hometown of Ravenna, Italy. In early 2020, she moved to the U.S. to live here with her partner and fellow musician, Ron Gallo. Her first album, "IMPORTED", coming 2022 details this experience of leaving her home country, navigating the immigration process all in the name of love. It is her first time writing and singing songs in English and playing most of the instruments herself.
