Sangre or “Blood” in Spanish has made their mark and a name for themselves in the Southern California Metal Scene for 10 years by their unmatched work ethic and longevity in an ever-changing revolving door of bands and trends. The band has self-released 2 EPs and 2 albums which in 2007 caught the attention of Hollywood based Beta Records. The upstart label had great ideas and offered Sangre a 4 song digital distribution deal. The deal was signed and embraced with achievement and hopes of taking their band to the next level. Things were on a roll with the pairing until the unexpected and tragic passing of their A & R rep. This proved to be the beginning of the end for the band’s relationship with the label. However, Sangre maintained and moved forward by continuing to progress their sound and live performances. Overall, this status gained the respect of their peers and others in/out of the music industry. Hard work lead to huge opportunities and endorsements such as a Jagermeister sponsorship. Within a year of beginning an apprentice sponsorship Sangre rapidly moved up to a full level sponsorship and earned a slot on the “2010 Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival” in Southern California. The festival was shared with other top acts such as Korn, Rob Zombie, Lamb of God, Chimaira and Hatebreed. Mayhem Fest has been the most exhilarating performance in the bands career thus far.
