Bodo Elsel and Martin Maischein founded Sandbenders around 1996, releasing their debut "Nebula Award Stories" on 800trak, the label of their close friend Dirk Mantei (D.Man). Following releases were "Sisters" on defekt.records, "Gouraud Shading" and "Defekt" on Force Inc., "Rock'nRoll" on Sabotage, Wien, and "Paradroids" on Science City. They never split up and were supposed to release their third long player this year, but up until now nothing has been announced regulary. Influences were obviously Drexciya, Mad Mike, Mantronix, Egyptian Lover and the likes...
