Sancho Gebre (Tamirat Gebre Lenga –Birth name) is a popular Ethiopian singer, choreographer and dancer who was born in Wolaita Sodo, Ethiopia and raised in Areka, Wolaita, Ethiopia. Before joining the music industry he was a contestant in Ethiopian Idol which began in 2009 and ended on September 2011. He was a winner of the whole season in a category of single modern dance and finally got the title “Ethiopian Idol Winner in a single modern dance" category. His appearance in the contest was the dances of Michael Jackson. Because of this all Ethiopians call him, an Ethiopian Michael Jackson. After winning the Ethiopian Idol he choreographed music videos of many Artists in Ethiopia. During his work as choreographer and dancer he has joined the Shakura Music Production and met the famous music producer Kamuzu Kassa and his brother Gildo Kassa and their collaboration in the production let him join the music industry. The first single release titled “Ande” in 2016 which was produced by Gildo Kassa from Shakura Music Production was country’s hit by the time and the choreography of the music video was popular. The second single song titled “Atasayugn” in 2017 was top hit in country’s music chart for the whole year. He totally broke into the scene during this single.
