Samantha Juste was the resident dolly bird on BBC's Top of The Pops in the early years, and used to spin the discs for the DJ. The DJ's used to vary from week to week. Principally it was people like Jimmy Saville, Pete Murray, David Jacobs, Tony Blackburn, Dave Symmons and many others from the 'Light Programme' & later 'Radio One'. Samantha got the gig to make a single or two because of important position she held on the TOTP weekly broadcast.. Musically the material and her performance were just about adequate. Famously she married Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees in 1968. One of their daughters includes the actress Ami Dolenz. Samantha's musical career did not continue beyond a handful of mid 60's singles.
