Salt and Light is proof of endurance through struggle.. The band is made up of 3 unlikely people with a strong message. Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Tony Gebhard has been carrying a cross since the tender age of 8. He is completely blind yet composes, performs, produces, and engineers all of the band's music from his home studio. Tony may be blind, but he can see the world through humble eyes. Vocalist Brandon Mitchell hated Christians from the age of 15 until his conversion at age 19 when he was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and anxiety disorder. But it's not about him either. Tommy Romine has been rapping for all of his life and has overcome addiction to drugs, a rough upbringing, and accidents that have nearly cost him his life. He too used to be a militant atheist. But he knows it's all come together for a reason. Life isn't always easy and with the various struggles the members have faced throughout their lives it all came together for this. To make music, preach the Gospel, and show the world Jesus through their lives. It's been said that the only bible some will read is the life of a believer. You could say this is a band, but it doesn't belong to them. This is God's band. And it's your band. This is a sonic journey to the everyday struggles of regular broken people who God has called to do great things.
