Artist
Since their last full-length release (2009's 'Your Nearest Exit May Be Behind You'), Sally Crewe & The Sudden Moves (with one Mr Tommy Keene on bass) have toured in both Sally’s native UK (opening for The Wedding Present) and in the US, last year with Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, where she joined the band on stage for blistering renditions of ‘Bottled in Cork’, most notably at her hometown’s Austin City Limits Music Festival and at Matador Records’ infamous ‘Matador At 21‘ birthday party in Las Vegas. Backed by the tight, propulsive rhythms of drummer George Duron (Dumptruck, Roky Erickson) and bassist Matt Baab (The Distant Seconds), Sally's impressive songwriting aptitude (“One of the finest authors of pop music around” – Paul Bruno, The Unblinking Ear), is now fully grown and battle ready, and the results are delivered with the confident swagger of an artist who knows exactly what she’s doing, and knows you’re gonna love it. New EP ‘Transmit/Receive‘ (released Aug 30, 2011). User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
