Saikoeple ("Psycho Apple" in English) were a great teenage band from Kopervik, Norway. In their glory days they were extremely popular among the local youth and inspired a lot of kidz to play catchy pop/rock. It was Odd Martin Skålnes (now best known for being the lead singer in groups like Haugesund Popensemble and The Alexandria Quartet) and Anders Borgenvik that founded Saikoeple in Odd Martin’s basement. Later Knut Leikvoll Melvær and Helge Ditlevsen joined. Unfortunately it happened to them as it happens to a lot of bands: they split up. They have later played together at some reunion concerts, to much joy for their loyal fans, but are now all grown up and busy with their own lives. Some of them have established new bands, but none of them will ever manage to enlighten people like Saikoeple did. Thank you!
