Sahra Indio, also called Original Bush Mama, is a reggae artist, primarily in the roots reggae genre. She is born 1969 and raised in a musical family in Philadelphia, USA, since 1991 living in Captain Cook, Hawaii. She is a singer and songwriter with Rastafarian lyrics. Her first reggae band was named Jahringa, formed on Hawaii 1993. Sahra’s first solo album was Good's Gonna Happen (2003). With the title song she won Reggae Song Of the Year Award in 2004 Unisong International Contest. 'Good's Gonna Happen' became Sahra Indio’s signature song. She has released some more albums and has smaller hits, including 'Bush Mama', 'Jah Fire', 'Ital Medi', 'At the Awa Bar'.
