Safo is a Bulgarian pop band formed in 2001 by the guitar player Miroslav Ivanov. In 2006 Safo took part in the Bulgarian preselection of the Eurovision Song Contest with a song called "Land of Regret". Soon afterwards the formation of the band they got impressive media recognition and was proclaimed one of the most promising rising stars of Bulgaria's pop/rock scene. The start to success was given when Safo won the 2003 Discovery Award at the annual ceremony of one of their country's leading radio stations, BG Radio. A year later the quintet's full-length studio debut album "Circle of Dreams" was released by Harbor Island Records. In 2004 Safo were honoured with BG Radio's Band of the Year Award, while their hit-single "Desert Land" topped the official chart of the Bulgarian National Radio. Dozens of live performances all over the country followed, as well as some serious line-up changes... In the very beginning of 2006 Safo presented their new vocalist Igor Shabov and a brand-new track entitled "Land of Regret". A bit later, in the end of April, the guys recorded a version of the song just mentioned in Bulgarian (bearing the title "Chujdo nebe"), and hired Stain Studio's mastermind Geppy to direct a video for it.
