about

Sadistic Exploits was an American hardcore punk band which existed in the early to mid-1980s. They released an EP titled Freedom in 1982. Inspired by UK anarchists Crass, the Philadelphia band was formed in late 1980 during the formative years of Philly's hardcore punk scene. Founding members Brian Lathrop, vocals, Pedrick, guitar, and Robbie, bass, were initially joined by drummer Miguel Gonzalez and hailed for incendiary live shows by local fanzines and WXPN radio jock Lee Paris. Gonzalez was replaced in the late summer of 1981 by Howard. The "Sploits" recorded their debut EP with this harder and tighter line-up.
