Since the death of his friend and mentor Jim Henson, Kermit has channeled his sadness through acoustic guitar by covering the most melancholy of songs in modern music, such as Radiohead's "Creep" and Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt". It seems that sometimes, as the frog says himself, it's excruciatingly painful being green.
