There are at least two bands to have recorded under the name of Sad But True. 1. An Internet-based Metallica tribute project. 2. A punk-rock band from Luxembourg. 1. Sad But True is the first (and probably only) Internet-based Metallica tribute project - so Internet-based that the band members live in two different countries: Crunchmeister - rhythm guitar, production duties & vocals, based in Ontario, Canada Matlike - lead guitar, occasional vocals, based in Ontario, Canada. Sad But True is a five piece punk-rock band from Luxembourg influenced by various punk-rock styles and trying to incorporate elements from other musical directions. Claiming that every language has its own beauty and is equally important, they write songs in many different languages. In 2004, they released their first album System Overload, which was followed by Face It in 2009 .
