Saagara is the jazz fusion project of Polish clarinet player Wacław Zimpel, accompanied by violinist Mysore N. Karthik and a group of Carnatic percussionists. Saagara seeks to "create a bridge between Indian sounds and Western music logic in order to go against some popular trends", thereby "avoiding popular world music clichés".
