STIAN SHIVER founded the Synth-Pop-Band “Strange Tears” in Dresden in 1996, for four years bringing out remarkable releases and staging outstanding concerts. After the band’s break-up in 2000 he worked on many projects in collaboration with musicians from among his friends and former band mates. With Dan Stard he founded the electro pop band PORTASH [www.portash.com] at the end of 2004 [www.portash.com], which mixed synthetic sounds with rocking guitars and electro beats on their debut album “Framed Lives, ” released in 2007. With this album they enraptured critics and fans alike (Orkus: “...emotional intensity, a splendid, expressive voice, an accomplished oeuvre you want to listen to for hours”).
