SHOWTA, real name Yanagawa Shouta (柳川 翔太) is a Japanese male-pop singer from Fukui prefecture, Japan. Born on August 11, 1987, this rising star has released 5 singles and has performed live on the shows Popjam and Music Fighter. Making the Teens Music Festival final in 2004, despite not winning overall, he gained a lot of popularity which led to his debut under King Records in July 2006. He later attended the Yamaha Teens Music Festival in 2006 as a guest. He would be active under the Name SHOWTA until going solo in January 2010 when he changed his stage name to Noboru Yanagaki (柳ヶ木 昇) to pursue a career directed towards anime voice acting. Alongside his singing career, he also began his career as an actor, appearing in the Fruits Basket stage play in 2009. He also hosted a radio show called YellTV. He is known for his friendship with transsexual singer and fellow Yamaha Music Quest graduate 中村中 (Nakamura Ataru). His characteristic is a high-toned voice, which is often described as “an angel’s singing voice” gaining him the nickname 'Archangel' is also compared to the voice of 橘慶太 (Keita Tachibana) who is the lead singer of the Japanese pop group w-inds. .
