SHALLOW WELL is an instrumental project fronted by 浅井健一 (Asai Kenichi). SHELLBY – the first album recorded under this moniker – was released in Japan through Sexy Stones Records on February 1, 2010. It is notable that except for drummer 外村公敏 (Sotomura Kimitoshi), all the musicians that helped record Asai's Sphinx Rose album also participated in recording SHELLBY. Information as to whether SHALLOW WELL is a one-off project or a band intended to last, has not been made available.
