Like most new bands, things change. And York-based See You Auntie has changed a few things in the band since their formation about two years ago. But as Mike Brambilla confidently puts it, "We're back and ready to play." Mike, former drummer, passed the drumsticks to Brett Popoleo and now plays the guitar, Josh Shaeffer is on bass, and Mike's brother, Ryan fronts the show on lead vocals. See You Auntie continues to play a mix of covers and hard-core passionate originals, primarily written by the Brambilla brothers. Auntie covers tend to be more "newer age" with tunes from Incubus, instead of Alice in Chains previously included in their playlist. Mike says they've also updated their sound with a sampler, which really helps with their covers. "We plan on using that a lot more," Mike comments. "'System of a Down' from Deftones is great. We've gotten comments that our covers sound so much like the originals. We pull a little more people into our shows because we added more covers." See You Auntie will return to Stress Free Studios to record their first full-length CD in August 2000. Their current four-song demo is available only on mp3.com.
