Soil is a group of people making music without prejudice and any regard to genre or style. It is an alternative pop mixed with ambient, drum'n'bass and folk. Their charismatic songs wrapped in experimental jazz fabric and floating over guitar scapes are crowned by suggestive vocals of Zuzka Kropacova who writes the most of the music and lyrics. Their debut album In Fields was released by Quazi Delict rec. in 2006. It contains 11 tracks, 11 "songs under surface" with special atmosphere and inner strength. It was recorded with absolute professionalism of interpretation, each song has detailed arrangement, and the whole album gives you impression of transcendence. Life acts of the group are filled with energy and in so far three years of being together SOIL have gained great public acclaim. They play mainly clubs and festivals (e. g.
