The Art & War of Misanthropic Philanthropy is the product of four very unique individuals known collectively as S.E.L.F. (Self Expression is Living Free.) It was created to be an agent of change - a soundtrack for the revolution of the mind. We must shift patterns of thought. It is time to end the ignorance and apathy that has infected our society. It is time to end the worship of idols and material goods. It is time to end complacency. In order that our philosophy of change is understood, we, the undersigned, created a 14-track manifesto - our self expression of living freely." - S.E.L.F. S.E.L.F.'s debut LP is a labor of love taking over four years to mastermind. It is a vehicle of change, a manifesto of what S.E.L.F. feels is our current human condition. The hatred of mankind for what we have become, the love of mankind for what we can be. A small glimmer of hope in a world of nuclear proliferation, AIDS, genocide, and war. MC's Trinit-i (Jason Torres), Reason (Mark Gonzales), and Aura (Jacob Lopez) are your philosophical guides through the cinematic landscape of arrangements produced by Aether216 (Diego Chavez) and featuring co-production by Aura. These orchestrations are too beautiful and complex to be merely described as beats. Each MC brings a unique perspective and style of expression to the mind, with his focused yet abstract lyrics. Reason provides the physical flows filled with urgency and Trinit-i the soulful expression of emotion and hope. Hope is the keyword
