Official Website Myspace 1.) "Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The debut album as a demo was released in 2009 naming "The War Manifesto". The band's music is inspired by some DSBMs like Sortsind, Silencer, Cry of Silence, Riviere Du Nord, Bleak and some others in this style; and the word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English. This selection is due to high influence of Sortsind's music on this band.But "Sår" is influenced by bands like Burzum, Darkthrone, Mayhem, Marduk, Immortal, Gorgoroth, Belenos and other old school bands can't also be denied. Lyrics' themes are about depression, gloom and Nihilism, and one of the most dominant inspiring elements on band's lyrics may be thoughts of the great Iranian author, Sadegh Hedayat, who ended up his life in 1951. 2.)
