Sâmbăta Morților is a Romanian black metal band from Ploiesti. Sâmbăta Morților was founded in 2014 when they released their first CD record in a limited edition of 30 exemplars, featuring 3 tracks and clocking 9 minutes of playing time. The second EP was also released in 40 limited CD exemplars. The band's name is a reference to a Christian-Orthodox holiday, related to commemorating the dead. The guitar riffs are quite generic and more inclined towards Melodic Death Metal, with 90’s Symphonic Black Metal king of keyboards in the background, a synthetic drum machine, and what seems a real bass recording, not simulated on PC. The vocals are promising, sharp and hateful, and the guitar leads are something to keep on the next releases, too.
