Rymdimperiet was the side project of Joakim Thåström and Stry Terrarie from Sweden's biggest and most popular punk band Ebba Grön. Christian Falk and Mats Borg were also playing in Rymdimperiet. In 1981 Rymdimperiet released their first single, "Vad pojkar vill ha". In the two following years the band released an 12" EP and another single. When Ebba Grön broke up in 1983, Rymdimperiet were re-named Imperiet and continued their career.
