Rycerzyki (Polish for "Little Knights") is a six-piece alternative pop group from Kraków, Poland. The band consists of Gosia Zielińska (vocals), Karol Jadach (guitar and main songwriter), Maciek Pitala (guitar) Michał Mierzwa (keyboards), Antonis Skolias (drums) and Aleksander Margasiński (bass and production). The band belongs to a music collective „Stajnia Sobieski” (Sobieski Stables), sharing members, rehearsal space and equipment along with indie rockers Die Flöte and Kaseciarz and a sophisti-pop act Armando Suzette (among others). Having caused quite a stir among local independent music critic with their first single "Mating Season" (released via Soundcloud), Rycerzyki followed with "Rimemba" and "Hounds", the latter accompanied by a video (available on Youtube). The singles aroused expectations for the album. "This could be the debut of the year", foretold Katowice's OFF Festival, which hosted Rycerzyki on the main stage at the anniversary edition of the event. Before its release, the band played several concerts (including yet another festival performance - at Poznań's Spring Break). In September 2015, Rycerzyki released their long-awaited album, entitled simply „Rycerzyki”. https://rycerzyki.bandcamp.com/ http://soundcloud.com/rycerzyki https://www.facebook.com/Rycerzyki User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
