Artist
Ruyman Gilbert is a multi-instrumentalist musician and composer born in 1982, in Caracas, Venezuela. Interested in music at an early age, Ruyman began to play keyboards and acoustic guitar, and to experiment with making music on computers. Later on, he focused primarily on playing drums, mainly as a part of the well-known and awarded Venezuelan band Embas (rock - eclectic), while always writing music on his own. He has been currently working on instrumental music. His first collection of tracks is called Demos -sketches based on acoustic guitar, melodica, flutes and minor percussion. Ruyman plays all the instruments. He currently lives in Santiago, Chile, where he also serves as the drummer for a band called Santiagostress (rock-fusion). "Feelings, rather than complex, are very simple. They lie inside our heads and beneath our chests. Sometimes our feelings can be triggered just by the sound of an acoustic guitar, or a piano, or both. As simple as that. Ruyman Gilbert writes emotional music. His songs are simple, short and concise. When I listened to Demos for the first time, instantaneously lots of colors, pictures and dreams were born inside my mind. Those are the forms of expressions of feelings. And that's the journey Ruyman proposes to whoever that listen to his songs." - Victor Marín.
