Artist
Now disbanded, Russell and The Wolves were a Garage Punk band from the North of England, formed in early 2008. The members were Russell Gray on Vocals, Ned Heulen Hogan on Lead Guitar, Danielle Velterelle on Noise Guitar and Great Scott! on Drums. They did not use a bass guitar and took influence from 60's garage, Surf and Rockabilly. They were known for their energetic live performances. At their debut gig, supporting Zombina and The Skeletones they were thrown out of the venue before their set could end. While active they self released a 7" single 'All Eights' and had several well received tour support slots alongside Bob Log III, The Jim Jones Revue, Kid Congo and The Pink Monkey Birds and Thee Oh Sees. A live performance of their song Mr Obsession was featured in the documentary 'Sound It Out'. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
