There is more than one band named Running on Empty. 1. Running on Empty is a pop punk, rock band formed in Fargo, ND, United States Members: Aric. Travis. Steff. Dan. Luke. School friends Aric and Luke went to International Music Camp where they created a friendship with Travis. Aric called Travis months later asking if he wanted to be in a band. Aric, Luke, and Travis spent a weekend recording the "Sneezes and Iced Tea" EP with Scott Heidinger. ... The band started writing new material and another band camp friend joined the band. After a couple shows, Steff and the rest of the band hit the studio with Greg Lindholm to record an EP titled "Don't Be Shy." Aric met Dan through school and asked if he wanted to audition for the band. Dan joined the band. They started working on new material immediately. The band recorded a new EP titled "Turning Pages" with Jeremy Tappero from the Stereo, Gratitude and Attention. Steff soon after became the 5th member of the band. 2. Running on Empty is a pop-punk band from Manchester, England. The group was formed in 2003 by Nick Dunai (Vocals, Guitar), Dale Smith (Bass) and Dom Mills (Drums).
