Guitarist extra-ordinaire, Runar Kjeldsberg has a talent and a vision about his music that is truly inspiring. Runar is a very interesting musician. Always sharing his warm and energetic personality through his music. He is one with his guitar, in fact he rarely ever separate from his guitar. Runar Kjeldsberg has spent the last ten years studying under some of the greatest guitar professors. Amongst them; Gerard Abiton, Alexis Muzurakis and most recently, earning his Master degree under the attentive ear of Carlo Marchione, in one of the most prestigious guitar classes in Europe. As a solo artist he has earned honours in competitions: 2nd prize in ”Veria international guitar competition”, Greece, and "Niksic international guitar competition", Montenegro, as well as being the 1st prize-winner of ”Giovanni Talenti” at the Rovere d’oro, Italy. In addition to his solo career Runar has been associated with projects such as "Transiteateret" (Norway) and "Muziek jong voor Oud" (The Netherlands). He has Toured Europe with flautist Charlotte Udø Kjeldsberg with their ensemble "Duo Saxe". Playing at venues as varied as "The cultural walking stick" in Norway, to the Niksic international Guitar festival in Montenegro. Returning home to Norway after many years abroad, Runar felt his solo repertoire from these seminal years deserved to be documented.
