Rubakai was formed in spring 2007 at an open mic night at The Source Café in Denton Holme, Carlisle, when Joe and Muz decided to take their talents to the next level. Since their formation, and several band members later, the lads are still bringing their 'good time' tunes to those seeking just that, consistently performing loud and rocking sets all over the north, including appearances at The Cavern, The Dry Bar, Night and Day Cafe and The Revolution Bar, where they performed at the 'In the city' festival and also recently they have been joined on stage by Bez of Happy Mondays fame.
